Graduate of UQAM with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, major in accounting, she specialized her career by completing a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Sherbrooke.
After ten years of professional experience in the personal trust services of Canada’s largest financial institution, where she worked in the areas of personal taxes, death taxes, estates and trusts, estate settlement and supervision of private wealth management accounts for Western Canada, she continues her consulting practice.
In 2003, she joined the firm, focusing her practice on individual tax compliance and financial and estate planning advice, including the complex cross-border issues of estate settlements in several tax jurisdictions. During these years of private practice, she also developed a particular expertise in SR&ED tax credit.
In 2015, she joined the firm’s team of partners as head of the personal, trust and estate tax service lines. In parallel, she founded her company that offers services in personal taxes, estate and trust and Estate settlement.
In 2021, she completed the specialized TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) training recognized internationally for her expertise in the fields of estates, trusts and estate planning. Now a member of the highly specialized group of 22,000 members located in 100 countries, including 3,100 in Canada.
In 2025, she takes over the personal and estate tax clientele of Mrs. Claude Girard CPA.
In addition to her activities, she directs essays dealing with taxation at death.
Mylène is a member, author and speaker at the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) where she actively participates in the ongoing updating of the book “Impôts sur le revenu et la mort”, a reference book originally written by Me Marc Jolin. In addition, she contributes to the ongoing updating of the “Guide de l’impôt fédéral” and “Guide de l’impôt du Québec” published by CCH Wolters Kluwer.
